Client Goals
Ms. Rivera contacted us wanting to preserve the character of her 1920s home while updating the functionality of her small bathroom. During our site visit, she expressed her desire for classic elements like subway tiles, brass fixtures, and a clawfoot tub. We provided guidance on blending vintage aesthetics with modern convenience.
Planning & Pre-Construction
After reviewing our estimate and design suggestions, Ms. Rivera signed the contract and received a curated shopping list. She handpicked items such as hexagon floor tiles, antique-style lighting, and a freestanding vanity with marble top.
Construction Phase
We began by securing the home’s original wood floors and surrounding areas. Demolition was done carefully to preserve any architectural details. Plumbing and electrical updates were completed to meet modern codes while accommodating her fixture choices.
The installation of the clawfoot tub and custom tile work required precision and extra care. Once that was complete, we painted the walls a soft eggshell blue to complement the brass accents.
Completion
After installing all the fixtures and performing a detailed cleaning, we presented Ms. Rivera with a bathroom that maintained the charm of her historic home with updated function and elegance. She was especially pleased with how we honored her vision while managing all the technical aspects seamlessly.
